“Rarely, if ever, are any of us healed in isolation. Healing is an act of communion.”

- bell hooks, all about love

I am infinitely interested in what it means to be alive. My never-ending wonder and amazement at the human body and experience, as well as my profound appreciation for the passage of time, serve as the foundation for my approach to medicine. I appreciate how East Asian Medicine can combine these two into a potent, personalized medicine that meets each unique individual where they are right now.

Finding East Asian Medicine was an experience of homecoming. It was the first time an explanation of the world made sense to me. Experiencing the medicine first hand, specifically Worsley Classical Five-Element Acupuncture®, blew me away. Not only did my symptoms improve, but my entire life improved. My access to joy, ease, peace, forgiveness, and flexibility all improved tremendously. I have seen the same happen for so many patients.

I am fortunate to be in close mentorship with David Berkshire, the President of The Worsley Institute of Classical Five-Element Acupuncture® with over 20 years of clinical experience. This means I will be able to consult with David about your unique situation to provide you with the best care possible.

East Asian Medicine defines health as the free flow of  氣 energy throughout the body. I firmly believe that being in alignment with our honest, authentic selves is what allows our  氣 to flow. I am also aware that the institutional and cultural injustices of our time significantly impact all of our abilities to be who we truly are, especially if who you are happens to intersect with being BIPOC and/or LGBTQ+. Because the personal is also political, I see the work we are doing together as part of a larger collective movement for liberation. I believe when we turn towards our own suffering and the suffering of others we come more deeply into our hearts, a necessary medicine for this time.

My approach to care is inclusive and life affirming, and accessibility is very important to me. This is why I am in-network with most commercial insurance providers. If you are experiencing any barriers to receiving treatment, please reach out and we will find a solution together. As a parent, I know childcare is often an obstacle, so please know your baby or child is always welcome in the treatment room.
